I don't see that at all. Now I'm confused. So than X must have to be installed first. But the sxs says to install freetype-1.x, freetype-2.x, mesa, and zlib first. I've got zlib installed already. Ok. I've read the rest of the freetype sxs. It's here by the way: http://sxs.homeip.net/freetype.html. And here's the sxs that I'm following for X: http://sxs.homeip.net/xfree_4_x_ttf_aa.html. It says to install freetype, delete the source dir, unpack it again, and configure it for X, so that it installs under /usr/X11R6. Alright, nevermind. I think I'll just try to get a basic working X and try to get the rest working at another time.
