I am beginning to believe dhcpcd has troubles. It terminated again last night. This time I think because the network went down for a bit, and dhcpcd ended with an error about no network connection. Then, when I ran dhcpcd by hand, even though I got back the same ip number as before, it ran the script which is only supposed to run when the ip number changes. Joel
