Well, I have tried and failed. After having spent at least two to three hours, I can't do a very simple thing.
If someone would give me explicit instructions on making a flat, black arrow head (I have no thought of anything as ambitious as an arrow head with a shaft) which can be rotated and inserted into an image with gimp, I would greatly appreciate it. These instructions would need to be explicit, since I really don't want to spend 5 hours reading the gimp documentation (That two to three hours was just poking around in gimp, downloading the newest gimp, etc.) to do this one thing. Of course, after 10 hours of effort there would be no assurance I could make such an arrow head, since the documentation never tells you want can't be done. That you have to find out by yourself!
