yes. but this is software

no. the controller isn't a RAID controller. that was my bad. it's sim;ly a 
SCSI controler. the system comes with a controller to control 4 drives. the 
system can support 20 drives. we're adding 2 more for a total of six. that 
requires the second controller card be installed.
