I'm glad to be back after nearly a year away. I've got a book done (translation of I Ching) and in the hands of an editor.
I guess I should introduce myself. I'm an old foggy - 61 years old. I started playing with (and using) computers back in 1976 with "mini-computers" and mainframes with all of 64K memory! CP/M made a breakthrough for me and DOS was a bummer (a poor version of Xenix/Unix and a lot less complete than CP/M). MS still hasn't caught up.
Four years ago, I discovered Caldera, but moved to Lycoris when looking for something a bit less susceptible to my issues when playing with the system. Well, it didn't work. When you delete user Majordomo and its files, the computer doesn't work anymore.
I still lke to play with my machine, but I now make sure I've got two backups of all production-level files. In any case, I'm glad to be back and to notice some friendly faces from before I left to finish my book.
