[ resending mail from Wed, Oct 23, which never got through ] It's always a satisfying feeling when you can solve your own problems with a little gray cells and google.
After configuring CUPS for my lpj1100 (lo and behold, redhat even has the PPD file, so I didn't have to resort to ljet4), I could print a test page, but nothing woud work directed to lpr. The gray cells finally kicked in, kicked in and a search on google confirmed that I needed to use lpr-cups, lpq-cups, lprm-cups, and lpc-cups. A little more research revealed that both redhat and gentoo have lpr.cups, etc., instead of the names I remembered and google documented. So, a few aliases later and I was in business. Just for grins, does anyone remember when the names changed to protect the innocent? -- -- Collins Richey -- Denver Area Redhat 7.3 system _______________________________________________ Linux-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe/Suspend/Etc -> http://www.linux-sxs.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-users
