The windows drivers for this printer INSIST that they be able to monitor the status of the printer while printing. For network printers, they seem to require NT/2000 which seems to support this type of thing. Nowhere can I see how to disable it. All EPSON docs just tell how to be sure it is enabled on your servver. Of course, I am using SAMBA from Col 3.1.1, which may not have some new features. I still use CUPS. So far so good. -- +============================+===============================+ | Roger Oberholtzer | E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | | OPQ Systems AB | WWW: http://www.opq.se/ | | Erik Dahlbergsgatan 41-43 | Phone: Int + 46 8 314223 | | 115 32 Stockholm | Mobile: Int + 46 733 621657 | | Sweden | Fax: Int + 46 8 302602 | +============================+===============================+ _______________________________________________ Linux-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe/Suspend/Etc -> http://www.linux-sxs.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-users
