I'm forced to compile kde 3.1 rc5 on an older (read that as; "slow") box that I own and it's sure is taking it's sweet old time too...
Anyway, I'm into the third module now, kdeadmin, and ran into a show stopper of a compile problem. It seems there''s at least one deprecated/obsolete include being used from qt in the new kde 3.1 code base. Compile of kdeadmin stopped dead when it couldn't find qttableview.h. Although it's not in qt311/include... it is in qt311/src/attic. Adding a link in qt311/include pointing to where qttableview.h allowed successful compile of this kde3.1 rc5 source module. Strange as it is, TrollTech's own documentation claims that qttableview is obsolete code and not included into the new qt codebase. Odd it's still in the qt 3.1.1 source archive though. Anyways, the rc5 compile continues and I can go to bed. Hopefully, if there's no more problems, when I awake tomorrow I'll have a working kde 3.1 to look over. Cheers and good night. -- ****************************************************************************** Registered Linux User Number 185956 http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&safe=off&group=linux Join me in chat at #linux-users on irc.freenode.net 9:35pm up 35 days, 23:15, 3 users, load average: 1.00, 0.13, 0.09 _______________________________________________ Linux-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe/Suspend/Etc -> http://www.linux-sxs.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-users
