There's no way the USB cradle will work with 2.4.2. USB cradle support (initially for the Handspring Visor) was added in a much later rev of 2.4.x (x>10, IIRC), and the Palm Tungsten support is probably only in the very latest, and maybe not even that. I know it's in 2.5, but I doubt if you really want to go there. So I would definitely agree with Lonnie, get your 2.4.20 going, and make sure you include Visor support since that's the driver that handles the USB Palms.
