Doubt it, but might they have to be gtk+ compatible? <shrug>
To be honest, I had never used icons in Xfce, just the xfce panel with the
various menues. I didn't even realize one could place icons on the desktop (I
haven't used xfce in a while; I keep "playing with various wm's ;o) )
