I have a problem with xfce under SuSE 8.1 that I haven't been able to figure out. I use xftree as a poor-man's menuing system for some common functions since (double) clicking on a script name in a file manager menu works pretty much the same on a variety of window managers. Running xfce-3.8.14 on a variety of Caldera systems, and on Apple OS X 10.2.3, it works as expected. Running xfce-3.8.16 on SuSE 8.1, when I double click on a script it fires off an xterm for the script even though the script itself is just running an xterm so doesn't need the extra terminal.
I can't find anywhere in xfce that the xftree behaviour for running scripts can be controlled. There doesn't seem to be any option to select ``run in terminal''. Am I missing something, or has xftree changed behaviour since 3.8.14? Bill -- INTERNET: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Bill Campbell; Celestial Software LLC UUCP: camco!bill PO Box 820; 6641 E.
