I'm a little confused, though, Lonnie.  It is your primary desktop box, but
you didn't think it would do any good to restart X because it wasn't
affecting other users.  Does this mean you are running an X server for your
desktop client boxes?  Didn't that style of centralized processing go away
with the Vaxen?  Just curious, not criticizing.
