Its not a secret, its just that i didn't think it was relevant. I've got User-Mode-Linux images, ready for action, except that they each time i deploy a new one, i have to manually go in and edit an assortment of files under /etc with the correct IP address, hostname etc. I was hoping to just replace all those places with a variable, and then i'd just have to edit a single place.
