I have xntp set up on a gateway box and it synchronizes well with some network time servers. I want to use this box to synchronize my home network.
I can't get my other boxes to see the time server daemon on the gateway box. This could be explained if the daemon (xntp) was only listening to one of the two NIC's in the gateway. Using nmap, I don't see any open port 123, so, this is possible, I suppose. I have not found any configuration item which tells the daemon which NIC to listen to. Oh yes. What is the difference between xntp and ntp ? Any suggestions welcome, Joel _______________________________________________ Linux-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe/Suspend/Etc -> http://www.linux-sxs.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-users
