Here is what I get with java -showversion on my new lindows box: java version "1.3.1_02" Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.3.1_02-b02) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.3.1_02-b02, mixed mode) The newest version of java available with synaptic that I find is version jkd 1.1. Is there a place I can get a newer/better version of java with synaptic?
