Too bad theyre not leaving Panama. Im in another rat-fight with them
right now. They want to charge me a $3,100+ installation fee on a frame
relay (normally a $250 fee). My attorney is having another discussion
with them today. In Boquete I need more bandwidth (a full E-1, up from
512k I hve now). Theyre installing a DSLAM (to compete with me), but
theyre crying they have no bandwidth and will have to install a new
circuit an that I should pay that. I dont think so.

I believe theyre doing this because:
1. I caused them several heavy fines a few months ago
2. Theyre having no success stealing my customers (salesmen have
personally visited all my customers and bettered my prices -- and they
cant steal my business -- even folks _waiting_ for my service wont
sign up with them).
3. They see the failure of their DSLAM in Boquete coming (failure
meaning they cant get enough customers to make it an economically
feasible operation) and expect me to pay for it.

Note: theyve lied to my customers, spread untrue rumors, theyve even
tried to have me cut off -- I think not. A telecom M$ (much like
comcast in the US). Those unfamiliar with comcast should spend a while
in the isp-dslam archives of the isp-lists.

Ciao,

David A. Bandel
