Well, i'm not having problems with 'make mrproper' & 'make xconfig' anymore. I'm in the middle of 'make bzImage' at the moment, and things appear to be going well. stupid make.
I've got 3.80 here. I'm not sure that I would have suspected make at all. I'd *like* to say I don't blame my tools when things go wrong, but it's more a matter that it just wouldn't occur to me that make would get broken like that. Not passing $(TOPDIR) (or other variables) down to sub-makes would break a lot of Makefiles out there.
Yea, i'd think so too, but this is the first thing that hasn't built. Thank $DEITY for Google, or i'd never have found the solution.
BTW, i'm already booted into 2.4.21. The is the only way to fly.
