I was leaving it alone, but since my name was mentioned as starting it I thought I'd fess up.
Yes, I posted a note of humor to the linux users group. Poking fun at Bill Gates. So I labeled it as off-topic. This generated 51 messages total (52 if you count this one, but I changed the subject line). If you count this message be sure to add it to the Off Topics topic. These messages spanned eight topics and were distributed like this: Topic Messages Blame (original) 1 Gun Control 2 Editors 15 Coffee 1 Top Posting 4 Lawyers 6 Dead Threads 1 Mail Agents 3 Off Topics 17 One additional message covered multiple topics. The "Off Topics" subject is about how bad/good it is to have off-topic messages on a "real" email list. Just for the record, I did contribute one message to editors and one to lawyers, as well as the original. So, for the righteous out there, how many did you contribute to this "thread"? Looks to me like "Off Topic" is better than the Emacs-VI war for troll baiting. ;-}) In Harmony's Way, and In A Chord, Tom :-}) Thomas A.
