yeah, I checked my customer's logs for it as well. Their Applications servers have PF to
telnet and ftp services on the Application servers, but those services are fairly well secured/authenticated.
Nothing out of the ordinary, ProFtpd gets hammered on a regular basis, so I do not
get to concerned, unless I see the same IP/host repeatedly trying to get in.

NOW I do take seriously, the telnet attempts, especially if the occur more than
once from the same IP/Host, or when the "gethostbyname" fails to resolve WHOM
they say they are ...

But, I saw nothing unusual this weekend ..

I heard about some massive hacker assault on the internet, but, checking my
own logs for my little web site, I only had a couple of hits by obvious
hackers, and, the same old stuff really. Does anyone know what was supposed
to be going on?

Is this just a windows thing?
