That may well be the case, at least for their splatjet printers. I've had excellent experience with their ``Optra'' class of laser printers, using them with many Unix and Linux systems. I would probably buy and recommend Epson printers for Linux, particularly after getting an HP Photosmart which wasn't nearly as easy to configure on Linux as the Epsons.
