If IS people hired by businesses and govt got fired for these screwups, they might not use MS. I strongly doubt that any IS people will be fired because of this. (What does the MVA care about customer convenience?) Using MS seems to be a job guarantee. Certainly, in the dynamics of a corporation, what would it benefit the maverick who pushed for linux? Likely it would cost him his job. This is a strong incentive to keep using MS software.
