Use 'rpm -e' to remove the unused kernel RPMs installed by up2date. That should remove the extraneous System.map, vmlinuz, vmlinux, module-info, initrd and config files. Find out all the kernel rpms you have installed using 'rpm -qa |grep kernel', remove the ones you don't use. The rpm removal process should clean up the grub.conf (menu.lst) file for you. man rpm HTH, Tim -- RedHat 8.0 Kernel 2.4.20-19.8, KDE 3.1.3, Xfree86 4.2.1 1:15pm up 7 days, 19:12, 1 user, load average: 0.02, 0.09, 0.04 It's what you learn after you know it all that counts _______________________________________________ Linux-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe/Suspend/Etc -> http://www.linux-sxs.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-users
