I have two directory heirarchies under /usr/src:

  /usr/src/kernel-headers-2.4.21-4
  /usr/src/kernel-source-2.4.21-4

which are installed from seperate packages. The header files are text files
with a suffice '.h' that provide variable and function definitions for
inclusion into program source files.
