David's poop sheet says you should only run mrproper when something major has changed. I only run it once - when I set up for a new kernel release. And dep isn't used anymore. I now have the kernel running with the only problem being that I can't get the aic7xxx code to compile. This was also a problem in the 2.4.22 code. -- +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ + Bruce S.
