Its fairly simple:
0)  Install the j2re RPM
1) In /usr/lib/mozilla-1.2.1/plugins create the following symlink:
libjavaplugin_oji.so ->
/usr/java/j2re1.4.2/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32/libjavaplugin_oji.so
2) Restart mozilla
