I don't know any way around the licensing. I guess if you use the software, you pay the price.
What applications are you trying to access?
For now, mainly Quicken, QuickBooks, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, MPLAB (PICmicro IDE), PowerBible CD, MS Office, TaxACT. That covers about 98% of it.
