Hi Collins,Does anyone else use icewm? I've been trying it out for a few weeks, and I like it a lot.
One thing I have been unsuccessful (after much googling) in finding out. I have utilities installed that allow you to specify sounds for events, and the information gets saved, but I can't find anything in the config files that actually enables this, so of course I get no sounds.
Any clues?
Are you building this yourself or using emerge? Either way, unless you "--enable-guievents" at build time you won't get an icesound binary, and thus no sound. Having said that, I have yet to get ANY system sounds from IceWM. I get sound from applications (xine, xmms etc) and on the web but nadda from IceWM. It's not all that important to me as I usually disable all those annoying little things anyway but... if it's supposed to be there where is it? You might try on either the icewm-users list or on the devel list, they're pretty helpful.
Good Luck ;-) and HTH
