I took your very own cvs snapshot of kicq as a thirteenth attempt at this. It
didn't have a configure script so i ran autoconf and got even worser results.
In startling contrast to (say) compiling quanta+ (also from you), and
compiling tarball in general, I'm not satisfied that kicq and kxicq are ready
for me, or the average ab)user. I've tried compiling on stock RH 7.1 and
several eDesktops with similar results. There's some assumptions made by the
maintainers of these beta products that aren't helpful. (perhaps it's a
Kdevelop issue). From memory, there's an undocumented requirement to first
run makefile -f ??
Roger Oberholtzer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> gave me some really good leads on where the
.cnf assumptions are made (with lippng, lipjpeg etc).
Think I may have to try licq for the time being...
