I'm in general agreement with Ken. This list is going to be distro
neutral, but I certainly don't mind learning what Caldera is up to. I'm
going to be full-time busy tinkering with every reasonable distro I can
get my hands on, but if Caldera comes down off their high horse, I
certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend 3.1 to new users - it's a pretty
painless install for newbies.
