I'm trying to get my sound working under Slackware 8. I'm using a SB16.
I was getting an IRQ conflict but have elimininated it. However, I get no
sound as I logon to KDE.
I opened xmms in a terminal window and then tried to play an mp3. This is the
error it generated:
** WARNING **: oss_open(): Failed to open audio device (/dev/dsp): Device or
resource busy
