I've got devfs up and working on my Gentoo system. The Gentoo stock setup
for /dev/devfsd.conf takes care of my sound devices - their permissions
get preserved across a boot, but /dev/scd0&1 disappear each time I reboot
and I have to resort to MAKEDEV again.
I've read the SxS and tried adding
REGISTER scd* MKOLDCOMPAT
UNREGISTER scd* RMOLDCOMPAT
Any suggestions?
