they're accurate as far as it being where the maintainer lives (in some
cases, in others, they're running their own servers at home).

for instance, my mirror is hosted on a server that's located in the
eastern US... but the worst part is it's running on a *cough*IIS*cough*
box and not a *nix box. i just recently found that last part out and am
currently making serious plans to move it to one of my own boxes
in the (hopefully) not too distant future.
