Got your reply again but I haven't started to fiddle with the
/.netscape.js and the permissions yet.
I think the problem is SOLVED.
I phone my ISP and he suggested that I could use IMAP iso POP. So I
tried it and and I did get the
Inbox screen up, but.........it still would not download any mail. So I
switched back to POP again
and turned the PC off in disgust. Anyway when I booted up just a while
ago I could start receiving
mail in fact there were a few messages for me.
So, I guess it was just a matter of rebooting after the changes, I
guess. And the proof of the pudding is
if you receive this ok as this was sent via linux.
