I have a need to be able to create transparent GIFs as transparency is not
supported by Opera 5.05/Linux. IIRC support for this format was chopped out
of the GIMP (although I think there may be offshore sites offering this
support... at least I thought I saw one once... of course I can't remember
it) due to legal issues with Compuserve.
Is there any alternative method to create them?
