I doubt that. Once a plane is in the air, it is surprisingly easy to
keep it in the air and steer it anywhere you want to.
Let's not forget that some terrorists, (even the extremists among the
extremists who would kill themselves for a cause) have day jobs, are
ex-military etc. It's not that hard to believe one or two skilled could
train a few to do this.
