I don't think that $MS should get any flack about this. After all, people
who publish accurate maps are aiding the enemy, too.
In Russia, I am told, no completely accurate maps were allowed to be
published, at least during the cold war.
I think they should leave it in, or at least have an option to display the
towers.
Maybe, people could practice flying helicopters around it, which were
noticeably absent in the rescue effort. In fact, I can see an entire game
devoted to the Twin Towers. If it were made with the same quality as
Spycraft, it would be a very interesting game. I would not be surprised if
some people were not already working on it.
You are at the US Defense control center when the attack occurs.
I can see the blurb now:
PLAY EITHER SIDE!! SAVE THE CIVILIZED WORLD FROM THE FORCES OF THE NEW DARK
AGE. or KNOCK DOWN THE SYMBOLS OF CAPITALIST OPPRESSION!!!
(That last item would only be in the Arabic language version, of course.)
I doubt such a game would devote much programming effort to the post disaster
clean up, funerals and such, though, so it would lose a lot of realism.
