I'd try a nightly,
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/latest-trunk
and see if the problem still exists there.
Or, since 0.9.6 will be arriving before too long. You could try a nightly
from the 0.9.6 tree,
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/latest-0.9.6
Grab a linux tar ball (not the installer) and just untar it somewhere off of
your $HOME directory, and run it from there. It should leave your existing
installation of 0.9.5 alone, and use your existing profile data. A nightly
and a milestone release can coexist nicely. I've done it like that for
months. It used to be that your profile data would be in jeopardy if you did
that, but that hasn't been a problem for quite some time. When a nightly gets
too broken to use, I fall back to the last release and the profile is usually
fine. This allows other users on the PC to use the release versions while I
"play" with the nightlies...

Tim
