I have just installed Mandrake 8.1 on a server for someone, but for the first time I have had init problems on a clean install. It will not boot to kde and in a console it stops with a flashing console login screen, the its stosp and says:: init id "x" respawning too fast, disable for 5 min
That seems to be a video card problem but the /etc/X11/XF86Config looks ok to me.
