Hi List, I am having alot of problems getting SuSE, Mutt and Gnupg to play nice on this machine. I would appreciate it alot if any of you who are SuSE users could give me some imput if possible. I am currently using: SuSE 7.1 Mutt 1.3.22.1i Gnupg 1.0.6
The problem: When attempting to send an email the following happens. After ":wq" I press "p" the "b(oth) then "y" to mail. I get a prompt to enter my passphrase, which I do. In konsole, I get the following: gpg: A89A2371--:skipped: public key not found. Press any key to continue. Then, if I check the mail I just composed and sent in the outbox, then body is empty except for: [--PGP output follows (current time, etc)--] [--Error: could not create a pgp subprocess--] What steps I have taken to resolve the problem: 1. Read the FAQ at Gnupg.org (which did fix the insecure memory message that I was getting at the time). 2. *lots* of google searches for postings similiar to what I am encountering. Couldn't find anything that pertained to this exact error. 3. RTFM -Mutt and Gnupg (more than once) 4. www.codesorcery.net (from the mutt-users list) 5. www.suse.de/en Using mutt and gpg for email. (This deals with earlier versions of mutt and gnupg than I am using. I did try to modify some of it to work, but it didn't,) 6. Posted to the suse list for help. One response referring me to kmail. 7. Posted to gnupg-users and mutt-users lists. No response so far. 8. Cussed and pulled alot of hair out :) The keys appear to have been created and signed ok. --list-public-keys Dallam lists the pub and sub keys for me ok. I can see them with Geheimnis and gpa. I chose all the default options to keep it simple as I have no experience with gpg whatsoever. I would really appreciate it if some of you guru's would help me out with this problem as I have done about all I know to do to resolve it.
