Xircom CreditCard Ethernet 10/100 + Modem 56 Parent is what I have and it is a Real port I think ...It has RJ ports in in it.

I use a Xircom RealPorts card which both nic and modem work perfectly. Can't say about the CreditCard model though. See the SxS under Laptops --> Latitude as to the NM256 card.
