What error code is the FTP server returning?

A comparison with the codes on this site will help narrow down the cause of 
your login rejection.

Some FTP clients may hide the code so you may need to use the BSD ftp command 
line program. If it is not installed on your Linux box try a Windows one. All 
Windows versions I have come across include the BSD client.
