Over the years, I've accumulated a number of USB memory sticks. When I want to
use one, I plug it in, wait a few seconds, and it appears in /media--except for
one, shy stick, who stays hidden, until I run 'pmount-hal'. Even then, it
refuses to reveal its true identity, appearing as 'usbdisk' instead of using
its volume label.

I haven't added or changed any udev rules, and I'm puzzled about what could be
going on. Any speculation about what's happening, or where to start
troubleshooting it?

Thanks,
Mike
