There is certainly a performance boost for video editing.
(With my first grandchild due soon the camera will probably get a

64 bit Flash works OK with Linuxmint although on my LMDE (Linux Mint 
Debian Edition) some videos play with a clicking sound. Google tells me 
that it is probably the Flash player but it used to work fine so I am 
not sure.
