Be aware that old servers use an awful lot of power.

The original horse was a compaq proliant and used 1.5A at all times.
It used 0.5 A even while completely off!

Currenty project at home is to replace the 35W sff box with with a 5W alix, and router on a stick.

We have an old server (here at work) which will probably be
available free to a good home.

    Anybody on this list interested?

    It is a Compaq ML370 G3 x2.8/400 512 AUST

    It has 2 x 146 Gb and 2 x 26 Gb SCSI drives.
