Some of the free hotspots require that you open a browser and accept their T's & C's before you can do anything. HTH

I've been unable to establish a connection to free wifi services at McDonalds or the Rangiora library (these are the only unsecured services I've tried). I can connect to my home network without difficulty, and have used other encrypted connections successfully. I've turned on debugging in wicd, and the problem is that dhcpcd doesn't get an IP address. I've tried running it manually, giving it a long timeout, but the result is the same. I've disabled the firewall as well, just to rule that out. Any advice, tips, or pointers would be appreciated.
