While they may not look too out of place to your eyes, they are definitively wrong. Look in any style guide or grammar book for traditional English for guidance about the use of the apostrophe. Problem is that English is a very difficult language to teach and most run-of-the-mill school teachers have not the slightest clue about the finer nuances of it. -- Sincerely, Christopher Sawtell
