The ca isn't any harder to install than any other, just cat the proper files together and reference the file.

You should only have to pay to validate once every two years, in that time you may then issue as many certs for as many (of your own) hosts/domains as you like, including wildcards. Pretty good value if you have more than a one to do.

Is that true for the email cert? This is the one that's been a real pain for me. And yes, after a month StartSSL demanded money from me to re-validate. Certs lasted 2 years, but I couldn't generate any more.
