This may seem ludicrous, but then stranger things have been done with the Wiimote. Sometimes when I have several long things to read, either on the web or in PDF, I plug in my Xbox360 gamepad and enable it with the mouse preset[1]. However, controlling the pointer with a joystick is too awkward for general use, such as web surfing, or controlling a media player.
Anyone out there use a gamepad for non-gaming activities? It would probably turn out that custom mappings wouldn't make it much less awkward for web browsing, but what about as a remote for media players (including browsing the library of music/video files)? I suppose MythTV and XBMC would be the best options? Also, feel free to reply with comments, and not just direct answers. :) --Aidan [1] The actual command I use is `xboxdrv --mouse' _______________________________________________ Linux-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.canterbury.ac.nz/mailman/listinfo/linux-users
