Just did an in-place upgrade of my work desktop to Qauntal. As half-expected (I bypassed the warning) the desktop didn't really happen, because this box has a simple Intel motherboard graphics. A quick apt-get got me xubuntu-desktop which looks a bit staid, but is very snappy. Just about to blow away some ancient Gentoo servers and Debian server for a client - popping them onto 10.04LTS. And I've had a little side project to do a commandline server admin course which I need to give some love. Thinking of posting it up on github, which seems to be what the cool kids do these days, and might prod me to keep it moving... - steve
