for my sins, I'm stuck on a MS Win7 box for the near future - my sole Linux box
after my move to Tauranga's on the blink. But I've installed emacs, mingw, java
and netbeans just to feel a little more at home, and man, did it feel good to
see the emacs window appear! I've also installed the Android SDK, and am
starting to learn it - there's at least a couple of apps I want to write that
have something to do with aftermath of the Feb 22nd earthquake. And this is the
first chance I've had to actually do something with those ideas.

I have just one question: to use the Android NDK - Natural Development Kit for
those not in the know: the interface that allows Java to read and write to the
underlying OS with libraries written in C/C++ - I need to download Cygwin. Does
anyone on this list know what the minimum usable Cygwin installation is?

Thanks
